WENNIGER GALLERY is a warm and inviting gallery charmingly located on the waterfront of Rockport, America's oldest art colony. Founded by Mary Ann and Mace Wenniger since 1971, The Wenniger Gallery offers the most extensive and diverse collection of contemporary and vintage original prints in the U.S.

On consignment from many printmakers, worldwide, primarily academics, you will find an amazing collection of figurative and abstract subjects ranging from California forest scenes to Chinese scrolls.

The Wenniger collection includes water colors, large and small aquatints and etchings, decorative silkscreens and lithographs, historic white line woodcuts, wood engravings and drypoints, evocative collagraphs by one of your hosts Mary Ann Wenniger, a rare amount of richly colored mezzotints from Japan, Holland, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Poland and the U.S.A. monoprints and handmade papers, and your other host's Mace Wenniger's expressive and sensitive paintings of the figure.

Hand crafted objects, made in New England by independentartisans, are now part of Rockport's Wenniger Gallery.   Birdhouses made in Maine from drift wood; Blown glass and porcelain vases; calico aprons and duffles; hand stitched quilts; hand pointed country style wooden vessels; hand woven caftan hand towels; hand made original decorative frames for photographs; a wide assortment of slab and thrown tea pots; glass and iron sculptures; unique original calderesque hand painted large mobiles made by a jazz musician; art furniture; creative clocks; glass roots' hanging jars. The collection varies seasonally.

Clients travel to Rockport especially to see what the Wennigers have found for them. Since the world of print galleries is small, you are welcome to ask the Wennigers to find a special print for you. As art finders the Wennigers are gifted.

The Wenniger's have also assembled a special collection of prints for children's rooms over the years.

Monthly exhibitions by Internationally recognized print-makers are mounted in the gallery.
